Scenic trail to Kaitum Falls.
The trail winds through pine forest and follows Kaitumselet, a wide, calm stretch of the river, up to Kaitum Falls. When the floodgates at the Akkats Hydroelectric Power Station are open, visitors can experience the impressive Kaitum Falls, which is otherwise dry.
How To Get Here:
There are two trailheads for Kaitumleden: one at Jokkmokk Sports Ground (IP) and another along the road leading down to the Forsnäs industrial area. There is plenty of parking at the ice rink for those who wish to drive to the trailhead. If you choose to begin your hike from the road to the industrial area, we recommend making your way there on foot.
